Our Story
Built in 2021 with the first production in 2022, this high tech greenhouse uses water from a nearby reservoir to help heat the plants, reducing carbon emissions by up to 60%.
In the equivalent of 33 football pitches, Ely will be growing nearly 10% of the UK tomatoes and cucumbers, reducing the amount of imports and transporting fresher and tastier products to the UK customer.
Expertly grown, the technology allows us to produce ten times the crop that can be produced, and use ten times less water than traditional farming. All this means our food is of the highest quality, with a shorter route from plant to plate than imported.
